This is the store plan I´ve made for our brand BRISK Denim. It has to be a kind of underground yet modern. The store also has to fit with our target group and the cradle to cradle concept. Luckily the teacher has approved the plan!

INSPIRATION | tattoo

Lately, I'm thinking more and more about getting a tattoo. I'm thinking about getting one for several years now but this time it's serious. The only things is, I'm scared that when I get older, I'm still stuck with it. Which is the big deal about a tattoo.. However, I've found some inspiration pictures on weheartit.com which I wanted to share with you guys.

COOLHUNTEN | amsterdam

I've found the left man in a second hand shop in Amsterdam at nieuwmarkt. He fits perfectly in the concept of our new jeans brand, BRISK Denim. Our brandvalues are pure nature, dynamic, urban, quality. This goes with an urban, underground look but still has to be modern. So this man is a great catch! He has this kind of underground look and he's just himself. Looking at him makes me happy because this man doesn't follow fashion like the most of us do, but still he's in fashion. The two men on the right I found at a shop also at nieuwmarkt. I can't remeber the name anymore but I do remember that there were hanging pinguins on the sealing.. craaaazy shit, i know. They're both have the underground, urban look which I was looking for and they fit in the total picture of our brand.

A while ago my friend bumped into this fashionable men in the subway and made a sneaky picture. Too bad his head is not on the picture but I think this guy has a great style. He´s a bit of a Gstar man I think and I kinda like it. Only next time he should wear another bag. Maybe a nice leather shopper as a christmas gift. What do you guys think?

Istanbul

On the 16th of november I'll go to Istanbul for four days with two of my AMFI friends. I arranged that we can go to a jeans manufacturer and a wholesale centre but since we have never been there before  maybe you guys have some tips or must see/go to places?

The latest installation at 103 Grand Street is inspired by Alfred Hitchcock's movie The Birds, which will be playing in our store throughout the Halloween season in a black and white, silent version.

le jour d´avant

I want to recommend all of the fashionaddicts to buy these two dvd boxes from Loic Prigent. I got the black box a month ago for my 20th birthday and I couldn´t stop watching. You can feel the stress of the designers and the employees, but it made me wanting to work in the fashion scene even more. The white box is definitely on my christmas list! If you want to see them too, you can order both of the boxes at Colette here for only 36 euro. It´s really worth it!

WINTER LOOKBOOK

From all the rain and cold weather, I became a little depressed. But by seeing these 'winter images' I got all cheered up again. I grabbed a pen and paper and made my own winter wishlist which you will see in the next post. I hope that you guys will get as much inspired as me.

the modern minimalist | BLEND

I'm a big fan of the magazine BLEND. This issue is all about modern minimalisn. Whereas Minimalism originally started out as an art movement in the 1960s and continued as a general design esthetic in the 20th century, today’s minimalism represents so much more. It is about reducing certain aspects of life to their essence, like art, fashion, design and food. Where does this longing for minimalisn come from? Read it in BLEND.

Arnhem mode biennale

The 30th of june I went to the Arnhem mode biënnale with my friend Vera. I got wild by seeing so much fashion/ inspiration and also the location was really  nice. It was all about fashion, art, young designers and famous designers. Afterwards we did a citytour through Arnhem, those pictures I´ll you guys later. First some pictures I took from the exhibition!
